  • Childhood Asthma

    Successful management of childhood asthma requires knowledge, experience, and time. The demands on the physician can be tremendous. Patient management will be dictated by the age of the patient, the severity of the disease, and the social and financial resources of the involved family.

  • Immunizations

    Vaccines are safe. They must go through extensive safety testing and evaluation before they are approved in the United States. Some people worry that childhood vaccines could cause autism spectrum disorder (ASD). But many scientific studies have looked at this and have found no link between vaccines and autism.

  • Allergies

    An estimated 50 million Americans have allergies, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Trusted Source. These allergies usually show up in infancy or childhood. Allergies can get in the way of your child’s ability to sleep well, play, and function in school.

  • ADHD

    ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active.

    Otitis media (oh TIE tis ME dee uh) means the middle ear is infected or inflamed. It is the most common reason for young children to visit their primary care provider. Ear infections are usually seen in children younger than three years of age, but anyone of any age can get an ear infection.
